â What you bring: Masters degree in computer science, Public Health, Health Sciences, or related field Bachelor of Science Degree in medical, scientific, biological, statistical, computer science or related field Valid Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certificate 57 years experience in a related field Experience in data management within a research environment Strong knowledge of REDCap, SQL, MS Excel, MS Access, and statistical software such as R, STATA or SPSS Experience with databases, systems administration, and data security Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills Ability to supervise and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment Your technical expertise and leadership will support high-quality research data systems that contribute to improving health outcomes. ð¯ What youll own: Managing secure and accurate research databases across multiple studies Designing, developing, and validating databases and electronic case report forms (eCRFs) Monitoring data quality, integrity, and query resolution processes Supervising data capturers and QC/QA teams Implementing and maintaining data backup systems and access controls Supporting statistical analyses and reporting requirements Developing SOPs, data standards, and quality management procedures Training and mentoring staff on databases and research systems Collaborating with investigators, research nurses, coordinators, and external stakeholders Your work will ensure reliable, secure, and high-quality data systems that strengthen clinical research operations and scientific outputs. ð Role Information: Fixed Term Contract (12 Months) Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week Based across Groote Schuur Hospital, UCT Lung Institute (Mowbray), and associated sites â³ Closing Date: 29 May 2026 Thank you for your interest in this opportunity.
