MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Applicants should possess one or more of the following recognised IT qualifications: – National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. – Strong MS SQL Server skills (Query writing and DB maintenance) – Strong accounting or actuarial background (advantageous) – Advanced Excel skills (linking sheets to databases, pivots, formulas etc) – Programming skills and qualifications (VBA, C#, ASP.NET, Python etc) (advantageous) – CompTIA A Certification (advantageous). – CompTIA Network Certification (advantageous). – Relevant IT support or systems administration certifications. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS – Minimum of 5-8 years experience in an IT support or IT administration role. – Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365. – Knowledge of networking principles, routers, switches, and wireless systems. – Experience with hardware troubleshooting and software installations. – Exposure to cybersecurity practices and data protection principles. – Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, warehouse, FMCG, or abattoir environment will be advantageous. – Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment. TECHNICAL SKILLS – Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments. – Basic networking and server administration knowledge. – Understanding of cybersecurity best practices. – Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. – Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems. – Knowledge of printers, CCTV systems, VoIP systems, biometric systems, and access control systems will be beneficial. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS – Valid drivers licence. – Willingness to work after hours, weekends, or standby when operationally required. Note that the abattoir is a 24/7 operation. – Own reliable transport will be advantageous. 2×4 or 4×4 advantageous for farm. – Clear criminal record may be required.
