In this role, you will drive high-value mining deals, build strategic relationships and own your territory. Opportunity for an experienced Sales Representative (Mining Equipment) to join a leading global OEM in the mining sector. This is a senior role focused on open-cast mining equipment sales (not earthmoving). If youve built your career selling into coal, platinum, or diamond operations , and understand the longer, more complex sales cycles in miningthis role is built for you. About the Role Reporting to the Head of Sales Mining, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing new business, and managing key client relationships across Mpumalanga and Limpopo, with additional international exposure. This involves extensive travel and direct engagement with mine sites, contractors, and industrial clients. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategies to win new mining clients and projects Identify and pursue opportunities across open-cast mining operations Prepare and submit tenders, proposals, and commercial offers Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders Conduct site visits, client presentations, and product demonstrations Negotiate and close high-value, profitable deals Maintain accurate forecasts, CRM records, and sales reporting Collaborate with technical, workshop, and factory teams Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities Ensure full alignment between customer requirements and machine specifications Minimum Requirements 5 years experience in mining equipment sales Proven track record selling OEM mining machines (not earthmoving equipment) Experience working within open-cast mining environments Strong exposure to regions such as Mpumalanga and Limpopo Background with leading OEMs (e.g. Komatsu, Hitachi, CAT/Barloworld) highly advantageous Solid understanding of mining applications, fleet requirements, and production metrics Key Skills New business development and opportunity generation Strong negotiation and closing ability Technical understanding of mining equipment and applications Strong commercial acumen and analytical thinking Why This Role?
