About the Role
A well-known audit firm is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join their team based in Johannesburg. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing audit engagements, including evaluating planning, project management, delegation, resolving staff issues, coordinating with clients, and reporting to the Audit Partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in initial meetings with the audit team and audit partner before the audit gets underway.
- Reviewing the Plans; advising and assisting the Third Year Trainees; and providing Partners with regular status updates.
- Carefully examine audit files with an emphasis on audit quality.
- In charge of general personnel management at the client and the workplace.
- Attend meetings for QC.
- Prioritize QC alerts and take appropriate action.
- Foresee client problems and challenges, and successfully address them.
- Ensure emails and calls are promptly answered and, when necessary, passed to the proper recipients in a timely manner.
- Authorize leave.

- Minimum 1-year managerial experience
