Job Description
A well-Known Audit Firm is looking for a Audit Manager to join their team based Johannesburg.
The chosen applicant will be in charge of managing audit engagements, including evaluating planning, project management, delegation, resolving staff issues, coordinating with clients, and reporting to the Audit Partner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in initial meetings with the audit team and audit partner before the audit gets underway.
- Reviewing the Plans; advising and assisting the Third Year Trainees; and providing Partners with regular status updates
- Carefully examine audit files with an emphasis on audit quality.
- In charge of general personnel management at the client and the workplace.
- Attend meetings for QC.
- Prioritize QC alerts and take appropriate action.
- Foresee client problems and challenges, and successfully address them.
- Ensure emails and calls are promptly answered and, when necessary, passed to the proper recipients in a timely manner.
- Authorize leave.
Skills required:
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Be willing to go the extra mile and take initiative
- Be passionate about becoming a Chartered Accountant
- Have strong analytical ability
- Have the ability to work under pressure
- Be deadline driven
- Attention to detail
Key Requirements:
- Registered CA(SA)
- Minimum 1-year managerial experience
- External Audit Experience
