Johannesburg: Brand Manager/Marketing

Job Description

Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Product / Brand Manager to take ownership of assigned brands and product ranges at a leading IT distribution company. The role is responsible for driving sales growth, managing vendor relationships, supporting the sales team, and ensuring profitable stock and product management. Key Responsibilities Product & Brand Management Develop and implement sales and marketing plans for assigned brands. Analyse market trends, competitors, pricing, and customer demand. Identify growth opportunities and new markets. Plan promotions, launches, campaigns, and events. Vendor Management Build strong supplier relationships. Manage targets, rebates, promotions, and reporting requirements. Negotiate pricing, deals, and stock support. Stay updated on new products and technologies. Sales Support Train and support internal sales teams on products and positioning. Assist with key account meetings, reseller support, and deal structuring. Provide sales tools such as price lists, presentations, and product guides. Help drive monthly sales targets. Stock & Commercial Management Manage purchasing, stock levels, forecasting, and ageing stock. Ensure competitive pricing and healthy profit margins. Monitor product performance, stock turns, and profitability. Coordinate with logistics on stock availability and ETA updates. Requirements Proven experience as a Product Manager / Brand Manager, ideally in IT distribution. Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building ability. Good understanding of stock control, margins, and forecasting. Ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment.
