About the Role
Our client, Telebest, is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join their team. As a key member of the compliance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met and exceeded. With a strong background in compliance risk management or legal experience, you will be responsible for conducting workshops, assessing risks, and developing compliance plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct formal Compliance Risk Profile workshops to identify and assess the total universe of regulatory requirements.
- Conduct informal Compliance Risk Profile reviews to identify amended and new regulatory requirements and update the Compliance Risk Profiles.
- Compile Compliance Risk Management Plans for the applicable regulatory requirements.
- Provide compliance advice to the SBUs or Depts on the requirements stipulated.
- Participate in projects to identify applicable compliance risks and advise on the management and mitigation thereof.
- Undertake compliance awareness activities.
- Plan, manage and conduct compliance monitoring on the applicable regulatory requirements.
- Log all compliance findings on the Compliance Issues Log.
- Compile and submit a Compliance Risk Profile Report to the SBUs.
- Compile, agree and submit a SBU Compliance Coverage Plan to the SBU/Dept.
- Report and Control Self-Assessment Review Reports and Control Spot Check Review Reports with the SBU.
Requirements
- 2 to 3+ years of practical compliance risk management or legal experience.
- Member of the Compliance Institute of Southern Africa.
- Commerce or Legal degree.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
