Job Title: Electrician Report to: Operations Seniority Level: Professional Type: Contractor Sectors: Chemical, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Functions: Chemical, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Duties and Responsibilities: Execute planned and unplanned electrical maintenance on motor, MCCs, VSDs, UPs, BTUs, transformers, heaters and control system Diagnose and repair faults on production equipment to minimize downtime Install, connect, maintain and commission electrical equipment, including hazardous areas (Ex-rated) equipment Conduct inspections and compliance testing on electrical installations and classified equipment Assist in commissioning and testing electrical installations and equipment Utilize SAP for maintenance planning and record-keeping Maintain personal and team safety, adhering to look out/tag out and hazardous area regulation Qualifications: Grade 12/N3 Electrical (English, Maths & Science ) Electrical Trade Certificate(Red Seal) Code 8 driver’s license Minimum 6 years in petrochemical or chemical plant environment (including learnership) Proven experience in hazardous area equipment maintenance (Ex,EX e,Ex i) and compliance with SANS standards Wireman’s license Good communication and team skills Familiarity with SAP and /or plant planning system Knowledge of hazardous area classification and Ex equipment PLC/VSD/Soft stater system experience Commissioning experience LV & MV switching experience Ability to interpref electrical drawings and control philosophies

Responsibilities: Demonstrate behaviours in support of company safety procedures with focus on zero injuries. Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe. Follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF), HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Effectively and accurately troubleshoot and make routine adjustments and repairs to industrial equipment and machinery to maintain production and maintenance schedules. Experience in package equipment labelling Machines, shrink-wrapping, Depalletizes and palletizers Monitor repairs and validate that the problem has been solved. Be able to do fault finding on S7 Siemens plcs. Be able to operate Fanuc robot in manual from the pendant in case of a breakdown. Complete job-cards on Shopware. Maintain a high level of urgency in response to tasks assigned. Participate in the Breakdown Elimination process to reduce the frequency of breakdowns and improve equipment reliability Maintain and improve 5S standards Follow Maintenance Standard Procedures and seek to improve machinery specific procedures where possible. Share knowledge and experience with other Electricians S7 plc programming, VSD programming Work on instrumentation e.g. temperature probes, flow meters, pressure transmitters and level probes Requirements: Grade 12. Minimum N3 in Electrical Engineering. Trade Test (Red Seal). Must have demonstrable knowledge of DMS. Must possess strong electrical aptitude demonstrated through troubleshooting skills. 4-5 years experience within an FMCG Industry or manufacturing environment.
