About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Product Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality software applications using modern web stacks. Your expertise in front-end development, database management, and cloud infrastructure will enable us to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Proficiency: Senior-level capability of modern web stacks (e.g. .NET Core (C#), Node.js/TypeScript, or Python/Django)
- Front-End Skills: Ability to rapidly build professional interfaces leveraging standard libraries such as React /Angular, with component libraries such as Material UI, Tailwind, or Bootstrap
- Database: Experience working with databases, with strong proficiency in querying complex financial datasets (SQL) and contributing to data architecture design and modelling
- Integration: Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and secure authentication patterns (OAuth2, JWT)
- Cloud (Azure): Experience with App Services, Functions, Key Vault, Storage, monitoring tools and cloud infrastructure security best practices
- DevOps & Security: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), encryption, identity, access control, and secure coding practices
Requirements
- 5-7 years of professional software engineering experience
- Proven track record of delivering production-ready applications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent practical experience
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. C#, JavaScript, Python)
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems
