About the Role
The Governance Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that the organisation adheres to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. This position involves monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on governance frameworks, risk management practises, and compliance activities within the banking and finance sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lineage, Catalog, evidence packs.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of governance frameworks and internal controls.
- Analyse regulatory requirements and ensure the organisation’s policies and procedures align accordingly.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of governance processes and report findings to senior management.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of governance policies and guidelines.
- Identify areas of potential risk and suggest improvements to mitigate governance-related issues.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on governance activities, compliance status, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure adherence to regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation, regulations, and industry best practises relevant to governance.
- Assist in training and awareness programmes related to governance and compliance matters.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on governance issues to support decision-making processes.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Governance, Compliance, or Risk Management is advantageous.
Qualifications
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution in a relevant discipline.
