About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join one of Cape Town’s most iconic properties. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dining experiences and driving menu innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and cost menus for conferences, room service, and promotional offers
- Develop seasonal menu ideas and food concepts
- Implement stock, hygiene, and safety controls in the kitchen
- Lead staff training, coaching, and management
- Handle conflicts and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Executive/Senior Sous Chef in a 4/5-star hotel
- Exceptional cooking skills with emphasis on high-quality dishes
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Good IR knowledge and conflict handling skills
- Excellent administration skills
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
