About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join a luxury hospitality group based at their Support Office in Johannesburg. As a key member of our HR team, you will act as a strategic HR partner to leadership while supporting operational HR delivery across multiple properties within the group. This role is ideal for a people-focused HR professional with strong generalist expertise, payroll oversight experience, and a solid understanding of South African labour legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as HR Business Partner for Support Office employees across the full employee lifecycle
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, performance management, and employee development
- Support employee relations and performance management processes
- Coach and guide leaders on effective people management and employee engagement
- Support property HR teams with group HR standards and guidance
- Oversee payroll coordination, workforce reporting, and HR data accuracy
- Manage Employment Equity reporting and statutory submissions
- Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, Employment Equity Act, POPIA, and internal policies
- Support skills development tracking and reporting
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR systems, reporting, and governance
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist role
- Experience within a multi-site environment essential
- Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation
- Experience with payroll oversight, workforce data, and statutory reporting
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential matters with discretion and professionalism
