About the Role
Our client, a leading player in the Food Manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Senior SHE Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring workplace safety, compliance with health regulations and environmental protection within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the SHE Management System and make initiate improvements
- Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA)
- Ensure correct use of PPE
- Monitor machinery safety compliance
- Ensure compliance with municipal and environmental permits
- Monitor hazardous waste disposal
- Ensure hygiene and sanitation practices align with food safety standards
- Participate in GMP Inspections
- Ensure correct zoning (high-risk, low-risk areas)
- Prepare for external audits (BRCGS, FSSC 22000, Other Audits)
- Develop and test emergency response plans, including fire drills
- Train fire marshals and first aiders
Requirements
- National Diploma in Health and Safety Management or Equivalent
- 5-8 Years experience in a High Risk Manufacturing Environment
- BRCGS, FSSC 22000 and customer audits experience
- HIRA & Legal Liability Incident investigation
