About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join our team in Johannesburg, supporting the Financial Analyst in compiling and analysing financial data from franchise operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience in financial analysis, with a focus on business performance reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with compiling annual schedules and timelines for franchise reviews
- Support the completion of franchise business reviews
- Prepare and maintain standard templates and documentation used during reviews
- Analyse franchise financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Collect and review financial reports from franchises to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Assist with benchmarking franchise performance and identifying areas for improvement
- Identify potential cost savings and revenue leakage
- Prepare financial analysis for business review meetings and participate where required
- Calculate financial ratios and support financial performance assessments
- Assist with business valuation calculations
- Review franchise financial controls to identify risk areas
- Monitor compliance with franchise and shareholder agreements
- Coordinate and track annual franchise compliance declarations
- Contribute to monthly reports presented to Exco
- Perform ad hoc duties as required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in a Financial Analyst or Financial Accountant role
- CA(SA) or AGA(SA) qualification (no other qualifications will be considered)
- Advanced Excel skills are essential
- SAIPA/SAICA registered
