About the Role
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for driving SHEQ strategy, governance, and performance across multiple sites nationally. You will champion a Zero Harm culture, ensure full regulatory and ISO compliance, and embed continuous improvement across safety, health, environment, quality, risk, and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and lead the national SHEQ strategy
- Drive and maintain ISO compliance (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
- Embed Zero Harm, ANZEN, and safety-first culture across all sites
- Lead audits, risk management, incident investigations & reporting
- Monitor SHEQ performance, trends, and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with OHSA, COIDA, and regulatory requirements
- Lead, mentor, and develop SHEQ teams nationally
- Liaise with regulators, auditors, contractors & key stakeholders
- Drive sustainability, environmental and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- BTech Degree in Safety Management (Honours advantageous)
- NEBOSH / SAMTRAC (essential)
- 10+ years SHEQ experience (minimum 5 years in senior management)
- In-depth knowledge of OHSA, ISO standards & COIDA
- Strong leadership, reporting & stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven experience managing audits, risk & compliance
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally
