About the Role

Network Contracting, a JSE Listed concern in Johannesburg’s Northern suburbs, is seeking a temporary Financial Accountant to cover maternity leave for a period of 4 months. We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented individual who can support our finance team and business partners with planning, reporting, financial analysis, transactional processing, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

Accurate and timely processing of journal entries for month end/year end reporting purposes.
Monthly preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
Timely and accurate resolution of reconciling items.
Overseeing and running the full payroll function.
Fixed asset management.
Management accounts.
Maintaining the prepayments schedule and processing appropriate accounting entries on a monthly basis.

Requirements

BCom degree in Finance or Accounting.
5+ years’ work experience in a finance role within the services industry.
Sound understanding of accounting/IFRS principles.
Experience in the preparation of monthly reporting, reconciliations, and year-end financial reporting.
Proficiency in Sage 200 Evolution (advantageous).

Qualifications

BCom degree in Finance or Accounting.
