About the Role

Hire Resolve has partnered with a leading logistics company in Gauteng, seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their team. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, meeting customer SLAs, and implementing quality management systems at all sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountability and leadership on all aspects of the operations in Gauteng.
  • Meeting of all customer SLAs.
  • Compliance of sites to company standards:
  • SHERQ achieve minimum requirements.
  • Implement and maintain Quality Management System at all sites.
  • Assist in unlocking synergies within operations to improve the competitiveness of solutions.
  • Assist in driving synergies with other company business units, where possible, to improve operational performance.
  • Ensure implementation and daily adherence to full site compliance for Safety, Quality and Delivery, including the following: Company Policies, Regulations, Work Instructions, Maintenance Schedule and Local Safety Authority requirements.

Requirements

  • Supply Chain & Logistics Diploma/Degree or Industrial Engineering Diploma/Degree Advantage.
  • Warehouse Management Systems experience Essential.
  • Experience as a CMMS Key User will be an advantage.
  • EWM system experience e.g. SA.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a logistics environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain & Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related field.

About the Role

Hire Resolve, a leading transport company in Gauteng, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our operations, with a focus on meeting customer satisfaction levels and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting challenges and progress at daily management meetings.
  • Ensuring that daily SLA are met within agreed timeline.
  • Pro-actively plan and manage all operational costs included scheduled resources.
  • Build effective, value adding, transparent relationship with all service providers through regular communication and reporting.
  • Compiling SOP and providing training on team members.
  • Develop and execute functional operational plans that support business strategy and enable the distribution centre to meet budgets, goals, targets and due dates.
  • Implement and maintain all required systems, processes and procedures within the outbound section of the distribution centre.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for Production and Dispatch areas and monitor and enforce compliance.
  • Maximize the efficiency and productivity levels of the operation, ensure compliance with agreed standards, continuously seek to optimise processes and find value-add opportunities for the division.
  • Manage and report on service level agreements (including overseeing management information reports if relevant)
  • Build effective, value-adding, transparent relationships with all stakeholders (customers, suppliers and employees) through regular communication, reporting and personal interaction.
  • Ensure that distribution services meet quality standards and customer requirements, and that customer satisfaction levels meet agreed targets.
  • Ensure that all outbound items leave the distribution centre within agreed time frames and that all inbound items are packed away correctly and within agreed time frames.
  • Ensure that deliveries are on time as per agreed targets, improving processes where need be, and liaising with service providers to optimise processes.
  • Manage and report on the operational budget, managing costs to ensure that costs are in line with budget.
  • Overseeing process between dispatch team and in house couriers.
  • Monitoring of OSP billing monthly.
  • Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis of data.

About the Role

Hire Resolve, a leading food manufacturing company based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their team. The successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the production of high-quality products while optimizing quality vs. cost relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage quality product through continual monitoring of line performance and optimization of quality vs. cost relationship.
  • Effective utilisation of labour hours to maximise product yields and minimise breakage.
  • Ensure adequate staffing is available to execute operational plans and that manning levels are at specification.
  • Develop and implement training programs for FLEs and direct reports.
  • Maintain discipline through the effective use of disciplinary code.
  • Maximise quality cases produced per hour.
  • Accurately compile and analyse daily production line reports in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate and categorize all downtime occurring during a shift.
  • Prepare a weekly performance report and feedback performance-related issues to the site leadership team.
  • Analyze the weekly direct cost variance report and reconcile previous production week performance to standard.
  • Check and ensure that all housekeeping, food safety, and occupational safety standards are adhered to.
  • Improve plant audit performance and work environment.
  • Direct supervisory staff (FLMs) in identifying and correcting any unsafe conditions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production processes and/or operating methods.
  • Improve on all quality weak link targets in AOP.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Production Management or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance standards and systems.
  • Computer literate (Access and MS Office).
  • Knowledge of safety regulations.
