About the Role
We are seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Retail Leasing Broker to join a high-performance commercial property environment in Johannesburg, GP. This is a commission-only opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, tech-enabled sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate retail leasing leads (cold calling, networking, site visits)
- Manage tenant, landlord, and broker relationships
- Handle full leasing lifecycle from enquiry to signed lease agreements
- Negotiate Offers to Lease and final lease terms
- Maintain accurate records and pipeline management in CRM systems
- Conduct market research on retail trends, vacancies, and developments
Requirements
Minimum 25 years experience in real estate (retail leasing experience in Gauteng highly advantageous)
Valid FFC (Fidelity Fund Certificate) or eligibility to obtain one
Must have own reliable vehicle, valid drivers license, laptop, and smartphone
Strong entrepreneurial and hunter sales mindset
Ability to work independently without supervision
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong knowledge of Johannesburg retail nodes (e.g., Sandton, Rosebank, Braamfontein, emerging suburban areas)
Experience or ability to quickly learn leasing/property platforms
Strong proficiency in HubSpot CRM (pipeline, deals, tasks, reporting)
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Comfortable adopting digital and proptech tools
