About the Role
The Senior Credit Analyst role sits within a specialist credit risk function focused on Resourceâbased and Project Finance portfolios. The successful candidate will manage a defined portfolio across the full credit lifecycle, delivering highâquality credit risk assessments that support informed decisionâmaking while balancing commercial and risk considerations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of Mining, Project Finance, and Oil & Gas clients across the full credit lifecycle
- Prepare and present highâquality credit applications and portfolio risk analysis to senior risk committees
- Conduct detailed financial, industry, and economic analysis to support credit decisionâmaking
- Monitor covenants, conditions, exposure levels, and portfolio performance within approved risk appetite
- Build and manage strong relationships with business partners and key internal stakeholders
- Ensure accurate risk data, reporting, and governance in line with credit policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Education: Bâdegree in Business, Commerce, or a related field
- Postgraduate qualification such as CA(SA) or CFA (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years experience within a credit risk environment
- Proven exposure to Mining, Oil & Gas, and/or Project Finance portfolios
