Job Description

Key Responsibilities Design and coordinate wet services systems including potable water, drainage, and hot water installations Perform hydraulic calculations and design booster pump systems Develop drainage layouts and associated infrastructure designs Contribute to hot water plant system design Support fire protection system design, including sprinkler systems (where applicable) Assist with rational designs where required Ensure designs comply with relevant South African National Standards (SANS) Attend site inspections and provide technical support during project implementation Minimum Requirements Qualifications BEng or BSc in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (preferred) Technologists or Technicians with strong relevant experience may be considered Professional Registration PrEng registration advantageous Candidates progressing toward professional registration will also be considered Experience Approximately 48 years experience in building services consulting or related design environment Strong background in hydraulic (water) system design is essential Experience in wet services design (water supply, drainage, hot water systems) Exposure to fire protection or sprinkler systems beneficial Retail or commercial project experience advantageous Familiarity with the following standards: SANS 10252 (Water Supply & Drainage) SANS 10400-T (Fire Protection) SANS 10400-P (Plumbing) (Practical working knowledge required, not memorisation) Stable employment history demonstrating professional growth Valid drivers licence and own vehicle (site visits required)
