About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Specialist Developer to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that meet the specific needs of our organisation. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality solutions that support our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications using Java 8/11/17, Spring Framework (Boot, Security, Data), PostgreSQL
- Design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS technologies (Lambda, ECS/EKS, EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, API Gateway)
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/GitHub Actions and source control systems like Git (GitHub/Bitbucket)
- Collaborate with the team to design and implement software solutions that adhere to our business principles and divisional service offerings
- Provide specialist professional advice and guidance on software development best practices
- Participate in architectural input, mentoring juniors, and evaluating information system processes
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience using multiple Microsoft technologies and platforms
- Proficient Java 8/11/17, Spring Framework (Boot, Security, Data), PostgreSQL
- Experience with AWS technologies (Lambda, ECS/EKS, EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, API Gateway)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions) and source control systems like Git (GitHub/Bitbucket)

- Degree in Information Technology or related field
