About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our client’s team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be a professional registered engineer with a strong background in structural engineering and a passion for delivering high-quality and innovative solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and coordinating the construction of various structural projects, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure
- Conducting site inspections and assessments to ensure the structural integrity and safety of existing structures
- Developing engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations
- Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
- Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers and project teams
Requirements
- Professional registration as a Structural Engineer in South Africa
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering
- Strong knowledge of relevant software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Prokon Design Software, PADDS and Probar 2
- Intermediate knowledge of ROBOT, Prokon Sumo and BIM
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering
