About the Role
The Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing secure, reliable connections between internal services, payment platforms, and third-party systems. This role focuses on building robust middleware, managing API contracts, and ensuring production stability through advanced operational controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Create secure integrations using API-led and message-driven approaches, defining schemas, payloads, and error models.
- Build middleware services, connectors, and orchestration flows for both synchronous and asynchronous patterns.
- Implement retries, idempotency, and end-to-end monitoring to ensure production stability and handle failures.
- Contribute to CI/CD automation and collaborate with platform teams to meet security and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
- 46 years of experience (Intermediate level) or 710 years of experience (Senior level).
- Experience with API gateways, ESB/iPaaS, and message brokers.
- Familiarity with payments environments, PCI DSS, and OWASP Top 10.
