About the Role

Top Vitae is seeking an experienced and skilled Market Line Manager to oversee the operations of our packhouse in Kirkwood. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all operational functions, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the efficient flow of local market fruit. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with various departments to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the process and flow of local market fruit from both packhouses to designated packing lines and areas.
Coordinate daily fruit availability for packing to meet deadlines on orders.
Supervise local market supervisors and their teams in their respective departments.
Plan staff schedules to ensure productivity targets are met.
Ensure all fruit movement is captured on Paltrack.
Verify that all packed fruit meets customer specifications.
Maintain Occupational Health and Safety standards at all times.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Manage maintenance of local market packing lines and areas.
Collaborate with Logistics, Materials, HR, Production, and Planning departments.

Requirements

Matric Certificate
Fluency in English and Afrikaans or Xhosa
Computer Skills (MS Word, MS Excel, and Emails)
Previous experience in managing or supervising a team
Valid driver’s license (code 08) with own transport
Previous experience in a packhouse environment will be an advantage.
Familiarity with Paltrack software is advantageous.
