About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our metal, automotive manufacturing, and stamping operations in KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and operational excellence while managing production teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage production teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets
  • Drive continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and operational excellence
  • Manage production planning, staffing, performance, and reporting
  • Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee housekeeping, safety, quality, and compliance standards
  • Mentor and develop Supervisors and Group Leaders
  • Manage departmental budgets and reporting to executive management

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Production Management
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Production within: Metal Manufacturing, Automotive Manufacturing, Stamping Environment
  • Minimum 3 years in a Production Management role
  • Experience managing large teams in a unionised environment
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, production planning, and continuous improvement
