About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and guest-focused Duty Manager to join a luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Cape Town. As a hospitality professional with a strong background in boutique hotel operations, you will thrive in a refined, high-touch guest environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily hotel operations and ensure seamless guest experience
  • Manage guest relations, handling requests, complaints, and special needs
  • Supervise and support front office and operational teams during shifts
  • Ensure high standards of service delivery across all departments
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, reservations, and food & beverage teams
  • Handle daily reporting, shift handovers, and operational checks
  • Maintain a visible presence to ensure guest satisfaction at all times

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in boutique hotel operations
  • Strong background in front office and guest relations
  • Proven ability to manage daily hotel operations effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving and guest resolution skills
  • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Formal education/certifications (if applicable)

Salary & Benefits

R18,000 – R22,000 (DOE)
