About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and guest-focused Duty Manager to join a luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Cape Town. As a hospitality professional with a strong background in boutique hotel operations, you will thrive in a refined, high-touch guest environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily hotel operations and ensure seamless guest experience
- Manage guest relations, handling requests, complaints, and special needs
- Supervise and support front office and operational teams during shifts
- Ensure high standards of service delivery across all departments
- Coordinate with housekeeping, reservations, and food & beverage teams
- Handle daily reporting, shift handovers, and operational checks
- Maintain a visible presence to ensure guest satisfaction at all times
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in boutique hotel operations
- Strong background in front office and guest relations
- Proven ability to manage daily hotel operations effectively
- Excellent problem-solving and guest resolution skills
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (if applicable)
Salary & Benefits
R18,000 – R22,000 (DOE)
