Lydenburg: Field Service Technician

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team in Lydenburg, responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Do Planned & help with Maintenance on machines in a manner that promotes reliability with total cost saving to the Client.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and implement timely repairs.
• Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues.
• Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and relevant departments to resolve complex electrical issues.
• Arrange / request all spares required in a pro-active manner.
• Inspection on the Machines and Sign-off.

Requirements

• Minimum of Grade 12 Certificate
• Completed an Apprenticeship
• Possession of a recognized appropriate Trade Test Certificate (Section 13 and/or 26)
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Diesel/Auto electrician/Millwright in an underground mechanized mining environment.
• At least 3 years’ experience in the maintenance of TMM LHDs, Dump Trucks, Drill rigs, and Roof bolter equipment in an underground mining environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Certificate of Fitness (Red Ticket)
• Valid Code 08 Drivers License
