Job Description
- Grade 12
- Chemistry or related Diploma/Degree
- At least 5 years lab analyst experience
- Understanding stats rules relating to a lab
- HPLC experience
- Own transport
- Willing and able to work shifts (7pm to 7am – weekly rotation)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Calibration of apparatus
- Maintain the QMS in lab according to Good Documentation, Manufacturing and Laboratory Practises.
- Prepare reagents according to SOP
- Document relevant info: reference method, measured pH, temp
- Prepare raw data according to ALCOA
- Ensure productivity in the lab by sticking to lead times
- Ensure lab operates safely
- Workstations must be kept tidy
- Health and Safety policy must be followed
- Verify calibration date and available standards
- Participate in laboratory safety procedures as required by management.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management or the employer
- Conduct analytical tasks:
- Chromatographic analysis
- Dissolution testing
- IR testing
- UV testing
- Titrations
- Physical tests using appropriate apparatus
- Validation of analytical methods
- Method development and validation in collaboration with senior analysts and laboratory management
- Completing of applicable logbooks in the laboratory
