About the Role
Our client, an ISP and VoIP service provider, is seeking a Network Technician to join their team in the Hendrina area. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software, as well as providing technical support to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, install, and configure network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points)
- Configure network software to ensure proper connectivity
- Perform on-site installations for clients
- Monitor network performance to ensure uptime
- Implement security measures, including firewalls
- Provide technical support to clients
- Troubleshoot wireless internet systems
- Resolve connectivity issues
Requirements
- Matric certificate
- Code 8 – 10 driver’s license
- Own transport to and from work
- 1-2 Years of experience in the internet service provider field
- On-site installation experience
- WiFi experience
- Knowledge of MicroTik/Ubiquity/VoIP/Cameras
