About the Role

Network Finance, a global organisation with a broad operational footprint, is seeking a Trade Accountant to join their finance division in Johannesburg North. The role forms part of a high-paced environment that manages complex financial activities across multiple regions. As a key member of the team, you will support financial reporting, month-end close, audit processes, controls, and continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders across various business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end close processes in line with accounting standards
  • Prepare detailed monthly financial reports and variance analyses
  • Review and reconcile internal management reporting
  • Support internal teams with financial queries and period-end requirements
  • Coordinate internal and external audit activities
  • Strengthen financial controls and improve reporting processes
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation issues through process improvements
  • Prepare financial analysis and reports for decision-making
  • Assist with automation initiatives to streamline accounting processes
  • Review journal entries and ensure accurate system processing
  • Contribute to best-practice initiatives across the finance function

Requirements

  • Qualified CA(SA)
  • 2-4 years’ post-articles experience
  • Strong technical accounting expertise
  • ERP experience (SAP advantageous but not essential)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Highly organised, adaptable and detail-focused
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage expectations effectively
  • Proactive approach with strong problem-solving capability
