About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Manager to join our team in Mpumalanga. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing and growing an existing portfolio of Key Accounts within the Food and Beverage and other Industrial markets treating cooling water, boilers, and effluent treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of Key Accounts within the Food and Beverage and other Industrial markets
  • Prepare sales budgets and achieve budgeted sales and profit plan
  • Manage and oversee all annual reviews of all strategic and major accounts in your region
  • Train and motivate your service team and accompany them on sales and service calls at customer sites
  • Supply monthly area reports on customer visits and present these to management
  • Service and monitor existing applications and projects within the water treatment markets
  • Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals and tenders

Requirements

  • A tertiary qualification in either chemistry or chemical engineering or environmental science, or a related field (preferred but not essential)
  • Previous experience working within the water treatment industry is essential for the role
  • Previous experience working within the boiler and cooling and effluent treatment markets is preferred
  • Technical knowledge of water treatment processes, chemistry, and equipment (boiler, cooling, wastewater, reverse osmosis, etc.) is preferred
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred)
