About the Role

Empilweni Home is seeking an experienced Centre Manager to oversee all aspects of our operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing occupancy, promoting our reputation, and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all affairs of Empilweni Home, including human resources management, asset management, financial management, beneficiary intake, and promotion of the centre’s reputation.
• Ensure that all residents receive holistic care in respect of physical, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing.
• Directly responsible for managing occupancy of Empilweni Home.
• Maintain compliance with provisions of all relevant acts.
• Market and promote Empilweni Home.
• Attend Board Meetings and report to the board; act as a Secretariat for the board and take charge of securing minutes and board resolutions.
• Report to funding partners and all stakeholders.
• Fundraise for Empilweni Home.

Requirements

• Completed University degree in Social Science or Diploma in Nursing (geriatric nursing experience and understanding of Alzheimer’s and dementia an added advantage).
• Preferable experience in NPO level.
• Minimum of +4 years of overall experience as a Social worker/Project manager/Nursing service manager.
• Minimum of three-years in Managerial position preferably in the NPO environment.
• Understanding of public finance management at PFMA and all acts related to NPO institutions accommodating elderly people/people with disabilities.
