About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at Wild Dreams Hospitality in a remote Northern Cape setting. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for maintaining all infrastructure, equipment, and utilities to ensure safety, sustainability, and guest satisfaction. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to thrive in challenging environments while supporting our broader mission of conservation and hospitality excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep all buildings, staff housing, and reserve facilities safe, functional, and well-maintained.
- Oversee repairs and servicing of vehicles, equipment, and tools.
- Manage water systems, power supply (generators, solar), and sewage systems.
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team, providing training and guidance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Control budgets, expenses, and contractor work.
- Respond quickly to emergencies that affect guests or operations.
Requirements
- Relevant trade qualification (Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, Building, or similar).
- 5+ years’ experience in maintenance management, ideally in hospitality, lodges, or remote operations.
- Strong knowledge of generators, solar systems, boreholes, and water reticulation.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Computer literacy (MS Office and maintenance management systems).

No formal education or certifications are required for this role.
