About the Role
We are developing a high-quality, serene spa and medical aesthetics concept in Zanzibar, focused on excellence in service, calm sophistication, and long-term standards. This role is designed for a senior spa therapist from South Africa who is ready for an international chapter: delivering outstanding treatments, shaping service culture, and helping build a team that truly performs. This is not a volume spa. It is about precision, presence, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a consistently high standard of spa and aesthetic treatments
- Conduct thorough consultations and tailor treatments to client needs
- Ensure calm, professional, and attentive guest journeys from arrival to departure
- Maintain excellent hygiene, safety, and treatment protocols at all times
- Uphold and refine spa SOPs and treatment protocols
- Act as a role model for professionalism, presence, and service etiquette
- Identify service gaps and actively propose improvements
Requirements
- Formal qualification in Somatology / Beauty Therapy (CIDESCO, ITEC, or equivalent)
- Minimum 46 years experience in a high-quality spa or medical aesthetics environment
- Strong treatment portfolio (massage, facials, body treatments; aesthetics an advantage)
- Experience working in luxury, hotel, or medical spa environments
- Comfortable training and mentoring junior therapists
- Fluent English (additional languages an advantage)
