FUNDRAISER KZN FUNDRAISING OFFICE This position will suit a mature responsible person who is prepared to work according to the Girls and Boys Town South Africa values. This position carries a competitive basic salary plus incentives. It is based at the KZN Fundraising Office, Tongaat Beach, KZN Duties of the Fundraising Consultant Attract new sponsorships and donations against set targets Research and identify potential funders and funding opportunities Initiate and build relationships (face to face. networking, events) Produce a targeted number of fundraising proposals per month Service a donor portfolio Meet donor requirements Liaise with Projects to identify needs and develop proposals Manage information and record the profile and fundraising activity of donors on the database Raise funds as per targets agreed upon Qualifications Grade 12 Sertificate A sales or marketing qualification will be an added advantage Experience Required Previous selling or Fundraising experience Good writing and verbal communication skills At least 5 years work experience in Sales and Fundraising A valid driver’s license Computer literate Personality, Attributes and Abilities Applicants must be self-motivated, energetic and mature Able to work independently and within a team environment Like to work with people face to face, telephonically and through other electronic channels Must be computer literate Must be dedicated, persistent and have perseverance Have a wide network of associates and contacts Ability to interact with people at all levels of society Creativity, imagination and an intrepreneurial flair towards fundraising Be multifaceted, adaptive and show initiative Ability to work under pressure and maintain efficiencies with attention to detail
