About the Role
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Sales Technician to join a dynamic retail team for our client in Paarl. This position combines in-person retail sales with technical support responsibilities, requiring a unique blend of product knowledge, communication skills, and technical aptitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers in-store, understand their needs, and provide knowledgeable product recommendations (computers, printers, accessories, etc.).
- Demonstrate and explain product features and benefits.
- Assist with device setup, troubleshooting, and basic technical support for customers.
- Process sales transactions (cash, card, POS systems) accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain stock displays, ensure shelves are tidy, and manage inventory levels.
- Provide after-sales support, assist with returns, and resolve basic customer issues.
- Stay updated on the latest technology trends and product offerings.
Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12 certificate.
- At least 1 year of in-person experience in a retail sales, customer service, or related environment.
- Direct experience with IT products (such as computers, peripherals, or related technology) is essential.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Basic technical aptitude and willingness to learn about new tech products.
