About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead our production operations in Pietermaritzburg, driving volume, efficiency, quality, and waste-reduction targets while ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing end-to-end plant operations across production and bottling
• Leading production teams, supervisors, and shift structures
• Partnering closely with maintenance to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Overseeing production planning, staffing, and resource allocation
• Driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, and operational standards
• Monitoring plant performance metrics and implementing process improvements

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Engineering, Operations, or related field
• Minimum 8 years FMCG manufacturing experience
• At least 3 years in a plant leadership role
• Beverage and bottling experience is absolutely essential
• Strong understanding of plant operations, production processes, and quality systems
