Purpose: The purpose of the Manager: Branch role is to manage a branch through the entire parcel cycle to ensure productivity and effectiveness. The incumbent of the role will achieve this by providing operational and people leadership to ensure sustained customer service levels and cost management in alignment with the company strategy. Duties: Operational Planning Implementation Operations Management Governance and risk management Reporting and Analysis Stakeholder management engagement People management Continuous improvement Minimum: Grade 12 Senior Certificate (Essential) National Certificate (NQF4) in supply chain management / logistics management or similar (Essential) 2 – 3 years’ experience in a Branch Manager 1 role or equivalent thereof  Required Knowledge: Implementation of Continuous Improvement principles Intermediate costing budgeting knowledge Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word. PowerPoint Knowledge of labour legislation (BCEA, NBCRFLI Collective agreement etc)  Required Skills: Ability to communicate at all levels verbally and in writing High level of business acumen Coaching and mentoring skills Conflict resolution and mediation skills Decision making skills Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence Required Competencies: Ability to work under pressure Action orientated High level of self-motivation Detail conscious High level of planning and organising skills
