Job Description

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing farm equipment, including tractors, TLBs, bakkies, and plant machinery. They will work independently and as part of a team to ensure efficient maintenance and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment
  • Welding, fitting, turning, assembling, and general mechanics tasks
  • Repairing tractor, TLB, bakkie, and plant machinery
  • General electrical, building, and plumbing knowledge for maintenance purposes
  • Managing a team and working in dependent environments

Requirements

  • Mechanical Diploma/Qualification or trade-tested certificates advantageous
  • Previous farming experience essential
  • Proven ability with welding/fitting and turning/assembling/general mechanics
  • Knowledge in repairing tractor, TLB, bakkie, and plant machinery
  • Maintenance-oriented general electrical, building, and plumbing knowledge
