About the Role
The Financial Controller role at Talent Scout Recruitment is a critical position that requires exceptional financial management and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy of cash forecasting models, and driving finance processes to achieve efficiency and control.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, and bank
- Ensure accuracy of short-term and long-term cash forecasting models and submit weekly cash flow reporting to Group
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in line with IFRS for SMEs and German GAAP
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring reconciliations are complete and accurate
- Review monthly Accounts receivable aging reports
- Review GRNI (Good Receipted, not invoiced)/Unvouched reports and ensure aged items are cleared on a timely basis
- Review unapplied payments and ensure payments are matched to invoices on a timely basis
- Review all submissions in relation to government incentives and ensure submissions are done on a timely basis
- Assist Finance manager with various analysis, reports, and projects as required
Requirements
- Tertiary Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar is an essential requirement
- Professional qualification such as CA(SA) (SAICA) or similar is an essential requirement
- MS Office, OEM knowledge, experience with using an Accounting System, working knowledge of relevant financial laws and reporting standards
