About the Role
A reputable and well-established accounting firm in Port Elizabeth is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager / Manager to join their growing team. This full-time, office-based role offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse client base while playing a key role in delivering high-quality financial and tax services.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships
- Manage and oversee client portfolios, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are consistently met
- Compile annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS for SMEs
- Perform income tax calculations, including deferred tax computations
- Review work completed by junior team members and provide guidance and mentorship
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations
Requirements
- BCom Degree in Accounting or similar
- Proven experience within an accounting firm environment
- Strong ability to independently manage multiple client relationships
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Qualifications
Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles (if applicable)
