Technician required for a reputable automotive manufacturing company based in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape

Requirements:

• Three to Five years relevant experience as Technician within the automotive manufacturing industry
• Working knowledge of the Injection Moulding process
• Design jigs, fixtures, conveyer systems, robotics as necessary
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Must have an understanding of the moulds, materials, injection process, and machinery
• Proficiency in technical set-up of injection moulding machines and working knowledge on establishment of robust processes

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for timely changeover, set up injection moulds and work stations
• Work with Production Assistant and Quality Department on approval of parts
• Aid in Design jigs, fixtures, conveyer systems, robotics as necessary tomeet or improve standards
• Assist Production Assistants in shift operation as requested
• Document tooling damage and/or processing issues, maintenance issues asappropriate
• Sets up all machining equipment related to each job change
• Works in a team to minimize machine down time and meet or exceed production standards
• Understands all procedures associated with the handling of hazardous waste
• Performs all maintenance of the tools/machines as required
• Observes machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction
• Performs workspace housekeeping
