About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Technologist to join our team at Spilastyle CC T/A Top Notch HR Solutions in Pretoria East, where you will be responsible for detecting bacterial pathogens in crops and conducting various laboratory tests.
Key Responsibilities
- Detection of bacterial pathogens in crops
- Conduct PCR, ELISA and microbiological assays
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 quality systems
- Supervise laboratory assistants and support staff
- Maintain laboratory equipment and testing records
- Participate in proficiency and inter-laboratory testing
- Authorise and interpret laboratory test results
Requirements
- SAQA recognised tertiary qualification in Plant Pathology (preferred), Microbiology, Biochemistry or related field
- Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory
- Experience with PCR diagnostics, ELISA and microbiological testing
- Practical laboratory analysis experience

- R480,960 CTC per annum during probation
- R534,400 CTC upon successful completion of probation
