About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to head our Group Security Management Department, providing leadership and direction to all company security functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and advising on local and international developments regarding security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends, as well as implementing appropriate countermeasures.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and advise on local and international developments regarding security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends
- Implement appropriate countermeasures to mitigate security risks
- Lead and oversee the strategic company response to security incidents and exposures
- Provide capability to execute security operations
- Liaise with relevant state security organs, including financial and cash sectors, on matters of strategic interest
- Develop capable security staff and provide technology, processes, and equipment to facilitate optimal security services
- Implement strategies, policies, standards, and compliance relevant to the activities of the company in respect of the cash industry
- Direct and coordinate departmental finances and budget to fund activities and increase efficiencies
Requirements
- An Honours degree in Security, Security Risk Management or an equivalent NQF8 qualification
- 1315 years experience in security, law enforcement, and/or security risk management, preferably in a high-value asset sector, of which at least 6 years should have been in a senior general management position
- A general management qualification is an added advantage
