About the Role
A very established licensed Medical Device Manufacturer, Distributor & Wholesaler and a trusted provider of high-quality Printing & Packaging solutions in Pretoria is seeking an experienced Factory Storeman to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring accurate stock levels, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue raw materials to the Factory daily according to Raw Material Requests and Works Orders
- Receive finished goods from the Factory using putaway lists and move stock to warehouse locations
- Maintain accuracy of stock in the Raw Material Storage Area and Work-In-Progress holding area
- Raise NCAs for goods that do not meet product specifications and note on GRN or Delivery Note
- Ensure product and raw material quality and safety in line with Safety Data Sheets
- Maintain accurate raw material stock balances
- Maintain accurate warehouse stock balances for produced goods
- Receive raw materials into the Raw Material Storage Area, print and apply labels including lot numbers and expiry dates, and verify against supplier packing lists
- Use putaway lists to deliver finished goods to correct bin locations with warehouse team support
- Raise NCAs for non-conforming goods and record on GRN or Delivery Note
- Ensure product and raw material quality and safety in line with Safety Data Sheets
- Check Company purchase order against supplier invoice before signing
- Sign invoices only after stock is checked
- Adhere to receiving turnaround times once putaway lists are printed
- Ensure correct stock, correct quantities, and correct purchase order numbers are received
- Perform daily stock counts and investigate variances by 10am
- Manage Macola warehouse transactions including bin transfers and stock movements
- Investigate stock variances on Macola within 48 hours
- Complete NonConformance forms for all issues within 48 hours
- Maintain accurate warehouse stock records at all times
- Ensure timely reporting and correction of errors
- Manage all warehouse movements including receiving, picking, transfers, samples, damaged goods, and demo stock
- Pick orders and transfers from picking lists and verify against customer purchase orders
- Check picked goods against Company invoices
- Pack orders securely for outgoing shipments
- Ensure couriers apply correct shipping labels and collect all outgoing stock
- Perform second checks on goods received from suppliers, transfers, customer returns, and technician returns before putaway
- Ensure adherence to Quality Management procedures at all times
- Maintain zero stock variances
- Ensure all stock is delivered on time
- Maintain accurate stock records
- Dispatch all orders daily
- Maintain zero internal and external audit findings
- Stack pallets and store them according to procedures
- Load and offload containers and trucks
- Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment
- Complete daily machinery checklists
- Maintain safe, neat, and orderly stacking
- Ensure efficient loading and time management
- Maintain stock accuracy at all times
- Ensure machinery remains in safe working condition
- Carry out reasonable assignments requested by Management
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- 10 years of warehousing experience
- Inhouse training will be provided
- Valid Forklift/Stacker License and driving experience
- Valid South African Drivers License and driving experience
- Strong PC skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook) with working experience of using a Stock Management system
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
