About the Role

Ultra Personnel is seeking an experienced Tender Manager to lead our Public Sector operations in South Africa and SADC countries. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire tender process, from start to finish, and providing leadership and oversight to various teams. This role requires a strong understanding of Salesforce Effectiveness, financial management, and people management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Objectives
  • Budgeting
  • Preparing financial models and reports based on tender awards and historical performance
  • Setting growth targets aligned with overall Pharma targets
  • Forecasting
  • Adjusting budget to accommodate changes in business
  • Reporting to Finance department and translating into inventory planning
  • Bid Commercial Viability Testing
  • Preparing bid portfolio and prices
  • Securing volume-based cogs
  • Aligning portfolio expansion to growth targets
  • Project managing bid preparation across stakeholders
  • Post Award Analysis
  • Analyzing wins and losses of bids to assist business with setting portfolio strategies
  • People Management – Customer Liaison Officers and Ops Specialist
  • Oversight of the team and monitoring performance
  • Development of team management system
  • Attracting, developing, and retaining talent
  • Developing SOPs
  • Participating in Business Reviews
  • Performance analysis of work streams
  • Preparations for discussion and reporting points from analysis
  • Sales Force Effectiveness
  • Salesforce optimization towards key assets through accurate targeting and segmentation
  • Managing National sales plan inclusive of Commercial and sales force KPI’s, and target setting and measurement
  • Dashboards & KAM Support
  • Creating, managing, and driving Sales & Margin Dashboards
  • Collecting and coordinating outbound sales data from each province
  • Assisting KAM’s with replenishments
  • Coordinating development of provincial outbound dashboard report with IT/BIS
  • Demand & Supply Coordination:
  • Maintaining a 5-year sales/budget rolling forecast
  • Understanding supply chain opportunities and challenges to guide KAMs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical/Medical industry
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Salesforce Effectiveness South Africa and SADC countries
  • Minimum of 5 years’ tender management experience in South Africa and SADC countries
  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, or business-related field
