About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Certified Turner Machinist to join our operations team in Saldanha. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for manufacturing, repairing, and modifying precision metal components using conventional lathes, milling machines, and drilling equipment based on technical drawings or samples.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, and drilling machines to produce parts with strict tolerances.
• Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, technical specifications, and hydraulic schematics.
• Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers) to inspect workpieces and ensure quality standards.
• Maintain, repair, or refurbish machinery and equipment, including pumps, cylinders, and hydraulic power packs.
• Perform general fitting, welding, and fabrication tasks within a workshop environment.

Requirements

• A recognized Trade Test certificate (Turner/Machinist) or similar N3/N4 technical qualification.
• Generally, a minimum of 4 years in a manufacturing or workshop environment.
• Proficiency in using conventional machine tools and measuring tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail.
