About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst / Process Engineer for a 6-month contract within a complex, regulated financial services environment. This role requires a mature, delivery-focused professional who is comfortable operating independently, managing senior stakeholders, and owning workstreams end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end business analysis and process engineering initiatives in complex environments
  • Elicit, analyse, document, and validate business, functional, and process requirements
  • Conduct AS-IS and TO-BE process modelling and identify optimisation and automation opportunities
  • Facilitate and confidently manage senior stakeholder engagements , workshops, and decision forums
  • Translate business needs into clear, high-quality documentation (BRDs, process models, user stories, solution proposals)
  • Work closely with technology teams to support Agile delivery , backlog refinement, and implementation
  • Take full ownership of deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and quality of output
  • Operate with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong self-management and accountability
  • Support change, testing, and implementation readiness where required

Requirements

  • 10 years’ experience as a Business Analyst and/or Process Engineer in large, structured organisations
  • Proven experience in financial services or banking environments (highly advantageous)
  • Strong process engineering capability (AS-IS / TO-BE, BPMN, enterprise process thinking)
  • Excellent business analysis fundamentals (requirements elicitation, documentation, stakeholder validation)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes with confidence and maturity
  • Experience working in Agile and hybrid delivery environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – able to engage at senior management level
