About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting a detail-driven Financial Accountant with Tourplan experience for a leading luxury travel organisation based in Sandton. This business is built on exceptional people, guest experience excellence, and a strong commitment to sustainability and community impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with suppliers, reservations managers/consultants and internal teams to resolve queries
- Review and release payments on banking platforms (including foreign suppliers where applicable)
- Act as Finance liaison to Sales, DMC and Commercial teams on finance queries
- Ensure compliance with internal policies including AML and FICA
- Check and approve refunds and commissions in line with policy
- Ongoing review of internal controls and risk areas
- Prepare bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
- Process and reconcile credit card transactions
- Support team efficiency through ad hoc operational tasks
- Follow up on shortfalls and clear suspense accounts where required
- Execute Tourplan month-end close in line with deadlines and established processes
- Revalue and review bank reconciliations and balance sheet recons
- Prepare and review VAT calculations and submissions, including resolving SARS/eFiling queries
- Prepare management accounts and deliver accurate forecasting and budgeting support
- Support audit processes, intermediate reviews, and internal controls testing
- Attend debtors reviews and provide feedback on risk areas
- Manage revenue and cost of sales processing for Ground Handling, including fuel usage and credit card expense management
- Process stock movement and investigate stock write-offs where applicable
- Full function accounting through to trial balance for allocated areas
- Manage expense processes and provisions for open claims within timelines
Requirements
Relevant Accounting qualification (Diploma or Degree) essential
3–5 years relevant finance experience
High proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
Tourplan proficiency essential
Strong analytical ability, high attention to detail, and excellent reconciliation capability
Strong communication and negotiation skills, able to manage stakeholders while maintaining relationships
Resilient, calm under pressure, and able to meet strict deadlines consistently
