About the Role
The IT Infrastructure Consultant role at Talent Evolution Ltd involves designing and tailoring IT infrastructure architectures to support public transport technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in virtualization, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, high availability, networking, and hybrid/cloud infrastructure within mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design infrastructure architectures aligned with defined transport system requirements such as AFC, fare management, fleet management, RTPI, and control centre systems.
- Translate system infrastructure standards into client-specific designs.
- Assess client environments and identify gaps between existing infrastructure and solution requirements.
- Produce High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD) aligned with performance, availability, scalability, security, and integration requirements.
- Conduct infrastructure assessments of client data centres, cloud platforms, and network environments.
- Evaluate compute, storage, virtualization, topology, and security posture.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and readiness gaps.
- Provide recommendations and remediation plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience in infrastructure architecture and design.
- Proven experience designing infrastructure aligned to defined system requirements.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or local cloud environments.
- Strong networking knowledge including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls.
