About the Role The Junior Business Analyst supports business improvement initiatives by gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements across Core Groups retail, e-commerce, and support functions. This role plays a key part in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring efficient processes, data-driven decision-making, and successful delivery of projects. Key Responsibilities Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders Support the analysis of current business processes and identify areas for improvement Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories Work closely with internal teams (IT, operations, finance, and retail) to support solution design and implementation Conduct data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for optimisation Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders Participate in project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business requirements Maintain documentation of processes, systems, and workflows Assist in post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives Minimum Requirements Bachelors degree in one of the following: Business Science Information Systems Finance / Accounting Engineering or related field 02 years experience in a business analysis, data analysis, or similar role Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced) Basic understanding of business analysis methodologies and frameworks Exposure to reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is advantageous Key Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment Strong organisational and time management skills Willingness to learn and develop business analysis capabilities Basic understanding of systems, processes, and workflows Advantageous Experience Exposure to retail or e-commerce environments Experience working with ERP or POS systems Knowledge of SQL or data querying tools Internship or project experience in business analysis or data analytics If your application is successful, background checks will be conducted (criminal record, credit, ID verification, matric verification, and references).
